Has all the manual controls you could want, but in a size that&#8217;s small enough to fit in a coat or purse (or a big pocket). If I need my camera cleaned it goes into a shop so I can&#8217;t help you there.  I&#8217;ve taken about 2500 pictures since January and haven&#8217;t had any problems.  The battery lasts a long time too if you don&#8217;t use the flash or LCD.</p>

i don&#8217;t know what you&#8217;re printing with, but i disagree.  i get beautiful prints from my printer, and i would never trust walmart/target/sam&#8217;s club with anything other than snapshots.</p>

Btw, I spent a lot of time looking for the best deal, and finally ended up buying the body only at focuscamera for 517 including s/h. <p>Does the Canon 2x have a mcro mode?  My Vivitar 2x for the K-mount does and I have gotten very good results with it.  I used it with a Sigma zoom for my light bukb macros in the contest a couple of weeks back.</p>

<p>If you are trying to convert your film photos to digital, get a slide scanner.  Any of the modern Nikon slide scanners will do.  Canon&#8217;s Canoscan is also a good value.</p>
