Nobody seems to have an exact answer, some claim it is a general error message when the camera crashes, but most of the reports have been related to third party lenses, or with dirty lens contacts. <p>Besides, you&#8217;re going to want to be able to clean the sensor at your convenience and not wait for a shop.  Dust particles get on the sensor at the most annoying times and you&#8217;re not going to want to wait for service.  Instead do it yourself.</p>

You focus lock on point 1, then on point 2, and then on your final framing choice.
