Yep I was on their property but as I explained to the security people (in black SUVs),  I could have just used a telephoto lens from the sidewalk. I like the idea of the 8.5 mm normal lens in the future.  But it appears that Pentax does not sell it by itself.  You must buy a body. I didn&#8217;t have enough plates so I ordered some from brinckbin.  THey arrived today with a few other pieces.  So yeah,  built a new screen.  Started on rebuilding the projector house.  Broke the ribbon cable on my the my actul projector.  So is life.</p>

									<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Have you considered a spotting scope with a T-mount adapter?  A cheap way of getting into long lenses.  Hover there are disadvantages.  Tripod use only but then you want to do that any way.  Not as much correction in the lens.  And no adjustable F-stops.</p>

I am using a APS-C sized sensor Pentax DSLR (1.5x).  Still gets lots of fishyness 🙂  I am planning on doing film too.  Have to breakout the K1000 or the Zenit cameras.  My ZX-5n,  just died on me. 									<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I second the Pentax DSLR. I have a older *istDS and its great.  You can use AA batteries in a pinch (except for the K10) and there&#8217;s lots of lenses.</p>
<p>With a screw mount to kmount adaptor,  you can use the older lenses.  I have used everything from modern lenses to screw mount bellows to russian Zenit lenses.</p>

Would be a bummer if it was my old attempts at photography and I pay $30 per roll of badly exposed film.  I hate to trust this to a 1 hour place, perhaps I should try Murphy&#8217;s Camera here in Lexington.</p>

Another reason for getting a big lens is I have a photosniper which I used to love to use but it attracted way too much attention and with today&#8217;s climate, I did not feel it would be worth adapting to my DSLR</p>

<p>OK, you are a MAC user.  Find a friend with an older PC (win98) and a card reader.    The card should be FAT since that&#8217;s what most cameras use.   The lock might just be related to the MAC OS.  Can the camera be used as a drive with the MAC?  If so try that too.</p>

<p>One thing to try is to use an alternative OS.  Linux or DOS or Win98.  The point would be to use an OS which does not care about the lock.<br />
Which OS are you using?  Additionally there are serveral recover tools available too.</p>

<p>Another good location to take pictures is demostrations.  Most want thier pics taken.  Probably not a good idea to take a picture of the anarchists though.</p>

<p>You have adjusted the circular polarized to vertical.<br />

<p>One of the problems with autofocus lenses, is that the focus mechanisms are loose.  This enables the motors to drive the lenses.</p>
<p>Another problem is most autofocus cameras do not have the split prism circle either.</p>
<p>So bracket your focus zones like you would exposures.  Stop down if you don&#8217;t need shallow depth of field etc.</p>
