Kind of reaching for themes at this point (feel free to suggest some!), but this had been suggested at some point in the past, and we’ve never done it. It’ll certainly be something anyone can enter, so I’d love to see it go epic.
He’s really gotten into the astro stuff over the last year or 18 months. It’s actually my telescope (inherited from my Dad), but it hasn’t struck the chord with me that it has with Zeke.
Yeah, I’ve been wanting to push further that way, but I’m at an impass now. My small scope has a broken drive and my big one needs a $7K mount. I’m thinking of rolling some pennies for something in between. Maybe just a new drive mount that’ll hold my small scope and allow for growth to something between that and the 80-pound light vacuum called a 12.5-inch, 2250mm newtonian.
