KeymasterBricks. From Legos to the blocks that make up the Pyramids, any “recta-cubular” man-made/carved building material. Bricks do not have to be part of a structure.
Theme suggestion kudos go to Yugoboy!

ParticipantDoes anyone else have the strangest desire to photograph Ivory liquid squeezed on a brick gutter? Or am I just listening to too much Tull?

ParticipantNot really ennuipoet, actually, I’m kind of lost on this one, inspiration fails me.
Last Friday I was staring at a brick wall, trying t figure out what to make of it…

Think of brick details, different coursing, window arches, etc.
This is going to be a fun contest for me, I spent 6 years doing building restoration, specifically masonry buildings. I’ve been going through my work archives (at least the ones I copied before I left the job), and oddly enough, most of them lack any kind of artistic bent…

ParticipantThis is the wall in question, supposedly, it should be holding water but it hasn’t rained in quite some time. Currently it sits completely dry, baking on the sun.
You can drive in through the gate (which is kind of intimidating, the doors slide up and you can almost feel how massive they are.) People go there with ATVs and dirt bikes to make all kind of stuff on the loose sand.

ParticipantFall color is in full swing here so every day I have been out in the woods or on the lake. I haven’t really come across anything for this one so I will probably have to dig. I have this one from last weekend with the theme in mind but then I saw that they must be man-made.

ParticipantI’m in the midst of breaking in a new kitten with the old cat. I’d be lucky to be able to arc-dive. When is ITITAPT3 coming, btw?

ParticipantLovely. My camera just died. Error 80 (2Ti), then after reformatting etc, Error 70. Off to the repair shop (still under warranty at least). Probably will miss the next few. Unless I break out the 2nd xTi. Which I might. But this sucks. I’ve been spoiled by the 2Ti features…

ParticipantOuch, that does suck.

Yeah, I have the same hesitation when using the old 20d vs the 7d.

ParticipantJust a reminder again that we have a large amount of theme suggestions in the Themes forum that you should look at and vote on ones you like!

Reminds me of that scene in Galaxy Quest, when Brandon is in the midst of saving Commander Taggert from certain doom, and then his mom comes in and tells him to take the trash out now…

ParticipantWell, I should have gone back and reread the theme description before now! I thought it had to be concrete blocks, so I’m running around town looking for buildings, walls, anything that is made of concrete blocks. Lesson learned. Reread!!!!!!!

Lesotho Mission 2009 by Craig in TO, on Flickr(this is not my photo; however, the person who took it inspired me to buy a [Nikon] camera)
