Shadowy flower

I took this photo over the holidays – this was one of the flowers out of a Christmas bouquet I received. I like the photo but every time I look at it I feel like something is off or missing. Clicky-pops for bigger.

i think maybe a *little* bit of frontal lighting? nothing too harsh, nothing that would make that beautiful backlit shadow disappear, but just a little more light on the flower itself.

I see that now! Makes sense, too. The flower was on cardstock on my windowsill with its back facing the sun. So if I had put some light in front to highlight the flower it would have looked a bit more even. On goes the lightbulb 💡
