Elsinore
KeymasterAny two similar subjects, one noticeably older than the other, shot together i.e. a 200-year-old building next to brand new skyscraper.
This theme brought to you by Farktographer–thanks!

ParticipantJust pointing out this is a month and a half after “Old, New, Borrowed, Blue”. I also realize the photo contents are to be different, but the titles are close. I’m assuming most people will realize the difference, but I completely expect some ass-hat to, well… be an ass-hat about it when it goes live.
I’m good either way.

And I just finished shooting for this week. This is the first week in I can’t remember where everything I enter is actually new.
Admittedly some of it was not shot for this theme, but it works so well.

ParticipantLucky you ennuipoet, I’ve been shooting for this theme for some days now, so far nothing really pleases me. I may have to skip it if I can’t come up with something acceptable within the next few hours.
I’m going through one of those dark periods when thoughts/ideas completely fail to realize.

ParticipantHaha, I was thinking about doing something with my B/W chemicals (besides processing some film) and then I saw your pictures on flickr ennuipoet, only I was thinking on putting a small digicam up front with the bottles in the background.
Might as well go the fetish way and whore some votes =)

ParticipantI’ve been preparing for this one for a while. I even went with at theme: Banks. Yes they are exclusively buildings, but hey, I seem to be good at that.

I was going to put my CF cards in the freezer with my film and shoot that, but then I started thinking…hmmm, where can I go with this?
Of course, it’s a niche shot that most Farkers won’t get. Huh? What is all that stuff next to the monitor?

ParticipantI’d considered new/old nickels, fishing lures, bicycles (or parts), computers… etc… but ended up with 3 shots of camera equipment as well.

ParticipantI guess it’s easy for us to go the camera gear way, I’m stil working on a couple of cameras, trying to make the shot work.

ParticipantElsinore, please delete my first entry of the curly florescent bulb and the candle. I forgot the “little mountains,” hence, not pic. It’s been a crazy week. We have inventory at my store tomorrow and there has been lots of preparation. Plus, I have been helping other stores with their inventories. I’ll be glad when tomorrow is over!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It’sa Bee, but the reason I am posting it is they just put these new steps in outside my apartment leading up the street. The steps get this amazing light all day long, yet prior to this were these awful metal monstrosities. Now new brick and stone steps. It is about to become a default background for a lot of still life shots.September 20, 2012 at 12:44 am #48537ennuipoet
