Lakes, ponds, puddles and your bathtub only. No rivers, streams, waterfalls or oceans need apply (unless connected to a lake).

This theme swimmingly brought to you by kestrana!

I was wondering the same thing. The campsite we’ve been visiting the last few years is on a “pond,” but I’ve been to lakes that were way smaller.

Kes has the final word, but the description specifically mentions ponds and even puddles, so I think you’re both OK. The defining factor from the description seems to be whether the water is in motion, so if it’s still (not flowing) water, it’s probably acceptable.

I may or may not be able to get somewhere to steal wifi tonight. If I don’t have anything posted by 8:30, can I get an OBO?

/Sigh.... Code box still rejects hrefs and img tags.

Here’s flickr hard links. Please use the large 1024 size for the first two and the medium 640 for the third. I’ve already tested them in the scratchpad.

I have thousands of photos taken on lakes, but not too many with the lake as the main feature. I think that I have been able to dig up three that work. I almost used this one but even though it has a frozen lake it might not fit the theme properly.

I thought I’d be sitting this one out. Arizona isn’t really known for it’s bodies of water (much). But I’ve been cleaning out my Tb backup drive (I was down to 1Gb), and along with freeing up more than 1/2 the space (yay!–man I started out taking crappy photos!), I found oodles of water bodies from my travels around the SW. Now I got an hour to whittle it down to three! Fortunately it’s a furlough week (possibly the last one, *sob, sob*), so I don’t need an OBO for once!

U-Man’s Tahoe shot is not doing good things for my desire to go back there this summer.

U-Man’s Tahoe shot is not doing good things for my desire to go back there this summer.

Nor is it doing good things for my hopes of pulling a top ten this week. along with just about all the rest of y’alls shots. Great work, everyone!

    Also:

I can get orionid‘s entries if he doesn’t show up.

I made it, despite having to give myself a crash course in making chrome mobile interact with Fark’s CSS scripts and lack of HTML buttons (the script wouldn’t load them on my phone) and forgetting the p align codes for centering. But seriously, thank you!
