Gee that was fun! There were some really nice pictures this week. Congrats R. Joe/Cameraflage!

I have to debate whether I’m going to work on hootenanny or finish a quilt, and I’m afraid the quilt might win. Lord knows I’m not a photoshop wizard. :o( Can we haz more themes for the hopperz now, btw?

Congrats to Ranger Joe for the individual win and to swampa for the combined.

There was indeed a lot of good stuff this week. In particular, bender16v, I loved your yellow Lake Elsinore. I felt like I needed to squint every time I scrolled past it!

Thanks CISS, a version of that is hanging on the wall in my office at home.

Ok, I have to out myself for re-posting a shot in this contest from an earlier one. The sunset shot was posted earlier in the Sun in Frame contest. The reason bibiliostats did not pick it up was that it was re-uploaded and renamed, I only found it by looking back through my archives.

I assume that it will be deleted from my stats, which I’m good with.

No biggie, Pope. It’s kind of a pain to delete an entry post-contest so unless anyone else has any objections, I’ll let it slide. After I discovered several months ago that a flickr link can vary by the last couple of letters (which designate its size) and still be the same shot, I found another 40 or 50 dupes in the database that haven’t been removed, so you’ve got plenty of company. Thanks for your honesty, though.

I fear I may be one or three of those.

As long as we all make a good faith effort and catch what we can I’m good. I like Picasa’s url format for photos uploaded as it keeps the original photo name and puts the size parameter as a separate piece of the URL. Makes keeping track of what photos I’ve used via bibiliostats a fair bit easier.

Maybe 2 years isn’t enough time to have too large a collection, but I have all my Farktography shots in a single folder. They’ve been re-sized and re-named, so doing a Ctrl-F isn’t possible, but if I wonder, I can always run through the folder and see if something looks familiar. So far, I’ve only almost done this once. Which irritated me, because the shot was so much better for the second contest. Oh well… once Spring really hits, I’ll go back and re-shoot it a few times so I can use it in the future.
