Sorry… just got through the busiest few days I’ve had in a long while where being at school wasn’t a part of my day. Today I was in Albany (200+ miles away) for a thing. But now I’m home and school re-starts Monday, so all will go back to its usual level of chaos.

FWIW – I’m hoping to put together a “What I Did On Spring Break” mini collection in the Gallery forum, as I have done a metric-butt-load of shooting this week, because a significant part of being to busy to hop on-line has been a lot of being many miles from home, with me and my camera and my wife (she’s gotten to calling my camera my “girlfriend” and I’m ok with that.)

Ohhh… right… Elsinore PM’d me. I’m assuming she’s right. I can’t believe I did that, but if the pictures are that close, then they’re the same. I didn’t do a lot of shooting for HDR in Italy, so even though I took over 100 Pompeii shots (would have been more, but the tour was only a couple/few hours long), no two are that similar.

Hated to have to remove it. Generally I try to give benefit of the doubt when I don’t have exif to compare, so that’s why I wanted to ask first.

I wondered why I ended up with the 2nd and 3rd place photos. I don’t think the 3rd place one is all that great so I was really pretty shocked. I wonder what it says about Colorado that the top three Ghost Town entries are from here.

Now that the contest’s finally closed (what’s up with closing Monday morning the past several weeks?), congrats to Ranger Joe/cameraflage for his sweep of both individual and combined!

LOL! I did notice the listing order, though; if one was prone to Freudian analysis, one might draw some conclusions from that… 😉

One of the few certainties of farktography – never try to understand the voting public. And I think the appeal of the Colorado entries is that the background matches what one pictures when imagining a stereotypical ghost town (i.e., something from the Old West).
