Description: Take the mundane and make it artistic.
I like this a lot. I’ll have lots of free time on my hands very soon..
Yay! Finally a contest for all my photos where I left the lense cap on 😛
Yes, I finally get to use all those high ISO monochromatic macros of my carpet! 😉
/Seriously, good theme. This one should be fun!
Sweet, I’ve got a whole bunch of shots from the first day I got the camera and was shooting anything and everything I could find. =D
*rubs hands together gleefully*
Take the mundane and make it artistic.
that’s the theme for my life. or my life’s goal. take your pick.
i’m wondering if one uses macro for the artistic part if we might want to link to the mundane “o” for comparison. and if so how many will bother to look at the link 🙂
I submitted this theme so I’m getting a kick out of these replies…
I think that the image should stand on its own merits – no ‘O’ in thread, but it could be here for educational purposes.
Description: Take the mundane and make it artistic.
That was my initial description, but the wordsmith in me is starting to look askew at ‘artistic’. Word-wise, “take the mundane and make it {antonym of mundane}” appeals to me more. Help here?
…and make it marvelous?
…and make it extraordinary?
…interesting?
…?
What say you?
Ultimately, the nuances probably won’t matter. It’s just a language thing.
i vote extraordinary or marvelous.
but i just really like the word marvelous.
‘Marvelous’ is a great word but people won’t get it. I was going to suggest ‘captivating’, but that will have the same problem. ‘Interesting’ is probably the safest way to go.
“Interesting” is a pretty good antonym for “mundane”, but “marvelous” has that alliteration thing going for it. We’ll need to get the change in b4 next week’s theme, so there’s time for more discussion.
This just in: Farktographer reports seeing face of Billy Crystal in pile of old socks. Film at 11.
another vote for marvelous. to me it makes the theme more challenging.
