Canon already makes a bunch of nice lenses I can’t afford.
This is nice in the same way that it’s nice they are still several companies developing better and better treatments for malaria.

Now, that fancy pants Sub Wavelength structure Coating is interesting. That’s the kind of technology that could trickle into my price range.

If it was auto-focus, then maybe I’d be more interested. For manual focus, you could do just as well with many M42 or Contax mount lenses and adapters for a fraction of the money.
