Digital Image size when printing
-
Okay I already saw the thread on big prints. I was wondering if anyone has ever seen a table with the image size and suggest maximum print size anywhere on the net. I’m looking to print out some of my pictures to hang in my room to cover some wall art left by the previous owners (too lazy to paint plus this is much more fun).
this came up as a google result. http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/digitalphotography/learnmore/bestquality.mspx but it is much smaller than the results here. http://www.bigdigitalprints.com/order2.html
viewing distance is a big part of what’s acceptable. and also what the intended purpose is. your use isn’t juried art shows. as mentioned in the big picture thread try printing sections to get an idea how large you can go.
That 2nd link is exactly what I wanted. It has the resolution and suggested max. I have a Nikon D50 and my biggest print I’m wanting to do is less than the reccomended max. Plus it’s just going to be in my room and they are black and white. Check out the two I’m thinking of printing. Yes I am a car person.
i really like the composition on the second one. and that it’s b/w.
