Flickr group

I know a few of us have Flickr accounts (thanks GalleyWench, it’s like crack I swear) and tonight I noticed on the front Flickr page that we can now have groups. Grabbed one for Farktography.

It’s an open group and anyone is able to join.

i’m in! i use flickr for my profile photos and misc stuff that i post in threads, so there is some raaaaaaaaandom stuff on mine. 8)

I just joined. Additionally, I’ve been tagging my farktography entries with ‘farktography’.

i just joined too. there’s also the farktographer group that woodpecker from mars started awhile back btw.

i’m pretty new to farkography (only entered photos in 2 recent contests my fark handle is aimeanda), but i, too, love flickr and just joined the group. i submitted the 4 photos i’ve entered, thus far, to the pool. love the idea. are we only adding photos to the group that have been entered in contests? i’ve also tagged all my entered photos with “farktography” and also “fark.”

Ive never used flickr before and I was wondering if this is something that I can use to host images that I post in farktography contests. I need to find something new for this sometime because Ill probably be losing my college webspace in the reasonably near future when they realize that I dont go there anymore and even more importantly that Im not sending them money any more.

Yep, you can use Flickr to host–I do. To comply with their terms of service, you just have to make sure that any picture you post to a non-Flickr website links back to the Flickr page for that picture.
