    This was a good example of heading out even when the aurora forecast doesn’t call for much. There was this great steady arc for over two hours that mostly just sat there, with only a few curls here and there, that stretched over 20 miles or more of landscape. Just sitting there in the dark, it was about a 4 out of 10 on the aurora excitement scale, the kind of thing my kids would shrug off after about a minute. But it made for a great light source.

    I spent the afternoon shooting long exposures at the stream down the campground because it was running high with all the rain.

    If I ever get around to processing them I’ll try to post some.

    I concur…. Absolutely gorgeous….

    I saw a five minute light flicker in Ohio once when the sunspot scale was like 9.8/10….. Never anything like that though. Bravo.
