Frequently well I upload to photobucket Fark deletes my images because the are too big in file size. First off, what is the Fark image file size limit, and how can I resize the file without resizing the image?

what app are you using to edit the photos?

in photoshop, when you save as a jpg, it gives you the option of the quality, which I’m sure affects the size.. you could probably “save as” and just adjust the quality down and get a smaller pic… who knows though, I’m no expert.

I don’t have, and can not afford Photoshop. I am not using an app to edit my photos other then cropping with the windows image slideshow thing.

There are some pretty decent free photo editors out there:

    – Irfanview (http://www.irfanview.com/) – This is more of a viewer than an editor, but it has some basic editing/resizing/conversion tools and is easy to use

    – Gimp for Windows (http://www.gimp.org/windows/)- This is a more fully featured editor, probably the closest thing to photoshop you can get (legally) for free…

    Even picasa isn’t too bad….

but I”m not sure if it can resize without losing size…

The limits on fark are :200K, 640×1100.

For editing pictures like that, The Gimp does really well.
