This was the toughest scene I’ve ever shot. Aside from the hike up the trail to get here the light was hell. The falls are in a deep ravine so the shadows were to dark, it was Noon so the sky was to bright and the water was muddy so it really didn’t pop in the image. Plus, I really wanted to hold the color of the trees on the top of the falls. I shot brackets for HDR, but none of them really came out well. This shot is fairly heavily softwared. The sky has a gradient filter to bring out the blue and the water his Dodged to bring out the white. The final image came out fairly close to the paintings of the fall I was trying to emulate.
