While I live in light polluted NYC, so my hopes are not high for great shots (though if things work out, I will head to some relatively dim areas with the camera and tripod) those you in less well lit corners may have a rare chance to photograph this phenomena!
I hope that we have clear skies. Last time the forecast was good I was way up north but never saw anything. I’ll keep an eye out this weekend because I really want to see it. I’ll also keep checking the forecast here too.
Cool, Im going to have to check out the night skies this weekend.
Monsoon season. 40% chance of rain (it already happened twice). No go from me. Share them when you getz them!

Yeah what he said. only 30% here but thunderstorms are also a possibility.
We’ve had extraordinarily clear skies all week until tonight and we have total cloud cover:
Latest Forecast = in 30 minutes, the Aurora will be at ‘STORM’ LEVEL!
Alright, clouds are starting to roll in here at sunset too after a sunny day.
Yay, clouds, clouds, and more clouds. But we needed the rain, so it’s all good.
I wound up in Nebraska for this, it was clear, didn’t see shit. 🙁
