Does anyone have one? Or the Sigma? I’m considering the investment but of course wanted to check for feedback from here first.

I’ve got the Canon equivalent. I doubt anything I could tell you about it would be useful in your evaluation, but if there is anything, ask away.

I’ve got the Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8, Nikon mount. Thrilled with it for the price.

I will probably never own a Sigma – too many friends with too many problems, including one who sent the lens in for servicing and got it back with the hood mounting ring cracked.

caradoc – what bodies have you used it on? FX only or any DX?

I’ve used it on a D80 – the only DSLR body I have at the moment.
