Pixel-tastic camera surprise

When you think of Sigma, you tend to think of lenses, rather than camera bodies, right? I certainly do, at least.
So has anyone heard about their new camera body? 46 mega-pixels on an APS-C X3 image sensor.

I would need a new computer just to process RAW files that big.
And can Sigma lenses handle that sort of resolution?

Meh. I’ll still settle for a D3x and the measely 24 MP.
Yeah, but that “46 Megapixels” is pretty much complete BS. What they’re doing is fully recording all 3 color channels at each photosite instead of using a Bayer array. The linear resolution is 15 Megapixels or so…
