I guess this is mostly a question for Zeke, so Elsinore, if you could snag his attention (then direct him here after y’all are finished), that’d be great.
I went to do a search for an older theme to link in another thread, and I saw the speed tab just above the main menu for “Site Search.” I clicked, I searched, I came up empty handed. I tried a few different variations and parameter sets, but nothing. I thought maybe the archived themes were lost in translation to the new layout, shrugged and moved on. Then I saw the “search” link at the top of the forum part of the page, clicked it and had instant success.
So I guess my question is: Are these two searches ever going to be integrated? One search to rule them all, of sorts? I can see others easily making the same mistake I did and quickly giving up in frustration. Not an essential thing, but certainly a convinience thing. And again, thanks and kudos for everything you already do with the site.
Also, I love the “recent search” tool for the voyeuristic aspect. Any chance of putting that feature on the forum search, even if the two can’t be integrated?
Also also, who the hell searched for my IRL name on Saturday?
