Friend and I went to Shenandoah National Park this weekend (camerflage/RangerJoe’s old stomping grounds). I finally got around to picking up a circular polarizer that will fit all our lenses with the step down rings. Here’s a couple shots:

Beautiful colors there, Kes. Ours are just barely starting to change, but they’re saying we’re probably not going to have much of a fall display this year due to the drought.

Nice shots, I think the Shenandoah has to be my favorite part of Virginia.

What is this *autumn* you speak of? I’m pretty sure it’s still summer here.
Beautiful pics, by the way :P.

Autumn – That part of year where time is punctuated by football games, and the weather is equal parts awesomesauce and grey suck. It’s also the time you start dreading things that have slipped your mind for the past seven months like “snow” “Christmas Shopping” and “In-Laws”

/I keed about the in-laws. Mine seem pretty good so far.

    ^ha!^

Technical question–what’s the advantage of a circular vs. I guess ‘linear’ polarizers?

Linear gives you better control, but introduces weird artifacts to sensors. CPLs don’t do that.
