I was in Vegas over spring break for a trade show and noticed that Neon lights don’t always come out the color they appear (see attached). Does anyone have any ideas or advice on how to get them to appear as their true color?
It looks like the bulb is overexposed… Colors that are red with a hint of green tend to shift toward yellow when they overexpose because the red maxes out and has nowhere to go, but the green keeps going up.
Have you tried playing around with the levels or curves tools?(Im assuming theyre called the same thing in photoshop or whatever youre using as they are in gimp)
Analogy: I hadn’t thought of that but it makes sense.
linguine: No, I haven’t done anything with it in PS except to crop and resize. I’ll probably try that and see if I can find anything that’ll look remotely natural but it’s more for the experience than anything else as I don’t particularly care for the picture.
