Vintage Milled Aluminum Tripod

I bought the most beautiful tripod today. I was in the crazy leather nazi electronics store and saw it off in the corner. Bought it for $20. It’s milled aluminum, and just beautifully constructed. It hasn’t been touched in over five years and every piece just glides through its motions. The legs have this really awesome and simple twist to loosen or tighten that needs no screws or clamps. It’s not too heavy, but rock solid. It’s got to be close to forty years old. There’s no plastic anywhere on the thing.

It’s not going to be something I’d take out in the weather much, but for indoors, it’s just like silk.
