Am I wrong by my first thought being “I’ll bet that box has an extremely short flange-sensor throw and could mate with almost any lens with an adapter”?

Body only being the operative phrase…I hear it takes Leica lenses…therein lies the rub.

Only with an adapter, the lens mount is its own new one (and the native fuji lenses weren’t in the same price league as Leica ones) But in terms of using old lenses the NEX and Micro 4/3 bodies will do that too, for a ton less $$. I’ve used a bunch of old Minolta and Canon RF lenses on my NEX 3 no problem, especially once they updated the firmware to allow focus peaking.
