01-19-11 – Color Popping Naturally

Thanks for the feedback, everyone. Looks like I’ll be going with #3 (although I’m with you, orionid – I prefer version 2 because I think it looks more like shafts of light, which is what I was going for, but it unfortunately has the visible gold writing.)

Mine aren’t all that fantastic this week, but I’m entering two, and they happened to also be ones I came across while out walking with camera in hand and took them thinking of this contest. They’re weak, but I’m going in. Next week, I have snow, but that’s also about it.

Oh, and here’s a bit of free advice for all the guys out there: When you run out to the store and come home with a dozen roses (they didn’t sell singles) and your wife asks, “Are those for me?”, the correct answer is “Yes, dear, absolutely” and NOT “No, I needed them for a photo contest.” 😳

/She was actually really understanding about it.

Yeah I am feeling mighty outclassed yet again. But I shall persevere. Maybe some day I will actually win one of these things.

I have no idea yet. I’ve got two queued up and ready to go, but I think I’m going to hold off on one and see how an alternate idea I came up with last night comes out. I suspect they’ll be too similar to want to post both versions. I’ll have to see.
