ParticipantHey, I was just over at G+ and read the novel of a post by ravnostic. (thanks for the shout-out btw) He mentioned the new sizes that are OK by fark standards. I knew that the max file size went up but I didn’t know the max px increased too.
I can’t find this info on fark. It’s hiding. Can anybody point it out?
I can’t find the original thread but the new pxl limits are 850×1500 (I think that is the long end someone will correct me if I am wrong.)

ParticipantBloody hell… I finally got the TF… it’s my freakin’ theme, and somehow I completely missed that it was Wednesday… well… a 3 a.m. post is better than sometime tomorrow…
(the day I’ve had… not going to bore anyone with it, but it was stressful and long… and then it rained and I left the Jeep top down… going to be sitting on a veritable pillow of towels to get to work tomorrow.)

I stopped by the ACD museum last month for the first time even though I’ve driven by it a hundred times. The cars are very impressive and the original art deco showroom is beautifully preserved. It’s amazing what they did on the Auburn/Cord/Duesenburg cars so long ago like motorized headlights, 150+ MPH, advanced design studio, etc.

ParticipantI’m out this week…the awesome shot I had of an old Jeep, glinting in the sun with large sandstone red rock formations in the background and a pair of unicorns frolicking in the foreground, absolutely refused to upload without causing my computer to lock up. I gave up at 2am.

ParticipantSomething must have changed, and CISS, IIRC, is out of town and inter-webz range; nothing to do about it at the moment. :o(
//btw, I didn’t get shots for this one; no time (have a few crap shots, decided not to post them–probably wise, given some of the awesomeness this week.)

ParticipantCISS said he was going to be out of town this week, but the site should have been setup to start scraping the new contest, but as with technology there’s always the possibility of something going wrong with the best of plans.

I had a chuckle when I noticed it wasn’t scraping and thought “Well of course, CISS is out of town,”

ParticipantI’m surprised at how well my Fairlane shot is doing seeing how it was just a snapshot. I was doing a band shoot in the Great Rhode Island Desert ( http://www.film.ri.gov/galleryRIDesert.html ) when one of the guys suggested we go to the “secret mustang junkyard” nearby to shoot. ( http://jalopnik.com/5102534/massive-secret-mustang-junkyard-found-in-rhode-island-forest ).
Well he didn’t know where he was going and we ended up at the wrong place. The yard we were at had a 6ft razor wire topped fence that we couldn’t get into and it was starting to rain. So I held my camera over the fence and took that shot. I wasn’t going to use it but it does have a kind of desolate feeling to it. -
