KeymasterI think the ambiguity (soosh‘s entries aside) of the wording stems from the fact that the description says additional light past an on-camera flash, so I think some people read that as allowing natural and/or ambient light since they are light sources other than an on-camera flash.
Be that as it may, and since this point is belabored enough already, I must now publically thank millera9 for giving me my future band name: Abraded Labia. I think we’ll do thrash lullabies. It’s going to be awesome. Thanks, man!

ParticipantHeh, you know I saw that in there and almost mentioned it in the exact same context before I decided to continue the serious discussion. You’re certainly welcome to the name with one caveat: you have to let me play tambourine and cowbell. I’ve always wanted to play tambourine in a thrash-metal band…

ParticipantActually, I was thinking knee, but now that you mention it, tube are pretty cool. Especially those white ones with the big red stripe at the very top. Whoa! Flashback… 😉

As long as you let me play keytar and electric doumbek, you can play anything you want 😉

ParticipantHow about some fine Tex Mex to go with those Sox? The Band can hang out, have some margs, eat some queso. Chill, even.
(if anyone ever comes and visits me, this is where we’ll go)

ParticipantThe opposing concepts of “fine” and “tex mex” have blown my mind.
September 21, 2007 at 8:00 pm #13219Elsinore
KeymasterClearly you have never had fine Tex Mex 😉
And ‘mofo we might also need you on rhythm Hotchkiss, too, if you can swing it 😉

google is not my friend. i can’t find casa george’s (or casa jorge’s) on sixth street. at least i thought it used to be on sixth. family owned and operated. great mexican food. they were expanding into another site when i left in ’78.

Participant@#$% Vegas, let’s have the farktography party at schnee‘s.
There’s a Mexican restaurant on my block named, I kid you not, “La Quebrada”. It lives up to the name. The English menus (when they had them) called it Mexican food, the Spanish menu calls it American. It is not fine food.

ParticipantChuy’s and a few other night shots were taken last night with the new 5D (with either the 24-105 L or a 90mm T/S). Mrs. Schnee gave me the night out, and is now enjoying the weekend up in Big D, leaving me with 1.0, 2.0 and 3.0…
Miller, you gotta try Chuy’s. Come to Austin. Any of you.
Curious, 6th Street turns over often. Casa George’s may not be there. Fortunately, one of my conference rooms is called “6th Street”, and I have to go shoot something representational. I’ll look for it. I’ll also probably blow the budget on liquid inspiration.
