Once upon a time, orionid suggested this theme.
I honestly thought it would be harder to find pix for this one than it was. I didn’t find anything recently that fits (my niece wouldn’t let me photograph the spot where she just lost her first tooth), so I started archive diving, and found 3 in a very reasonable amount of time, and I didn’t even have to stretch the definition. (I didn’t even have to go through the Italy pix, either.)
Should be fun!
Would a cultural, spiritual, aesthetic etc vacancy left by the missing something be enough to meet this theme? For example, a currency exchange where an kick ass live music bar used to be.
I kinda think there needs to be something obviously missing in the picture, rather than something that’s merely different and has to be explained.

Damn, this actually kills my idea for this theme.
Well, as ‘mofo said, it is, just like, my opinion, man. Might be better to ask orionid to clarify his intent, though in general I lean toward stuff that doesn’t need to be explained with text over other stuff that speaks for itself.
Oh, Y’all know me. Keep it open and let the voters sort it out. Just remember that half of ’em can’t read and the other half won’t, so explanations tend to fall short.
I say run it, but it’s better if it’s got at least some visual clue (faded lettering from Bob’s hobby shop still visible behind the Panera logo, etc.

I just wrapped on my three and I had to think outside the box. Way outside. I can empathize with stumpage, seems like I’ve been kind of tanking lately.
I have one or two thoughts and am going out into the freezing cold to try them out. wish me luck. other wise it’s archive diving for me tonight and I’m not sure what I have in the archives that would fit.
