KeymasterShow us photos where the subject or scene is illuminated by colored light. Examples of light sources include fireworks, colored lightbulbs and shades, gelled or filtered studio lights and flashes, neon and outdoor signs, etc.
Many thanks to kestrana for illuminating us with this theme!

ParticipantSo this means any color of light other than plain white? Not just red or green? because that sounds pretty cool if I understand correctly.

KeymasterThat was my understanding as well. I could probably modify the title a bit to make that more obvious.

ParticipantI’ll try to find the original theme suggestion, but I can’t remember if colored filters on the lens were acceptable or not?

ParticipantI have about 200,000 photos under colored lights. Better get crackin’ on whittling em down!

Sure, keep the theme as open as possible. Also doesn’t have to be red and/or green, just a familiar phrase was used as the theme name.

ParticipantAre only artificial light sources within bounds?

ParticipantI have an insane work schedule right now and had to dig for this one. While digging I realized that I rarely shoot at night. I should change that, maybe a New Year’s resolution in the works.

KeymasterThanks so much for posting tonight, sleeping! Going through pics now…

ParticipantWhew… finally got some pix. Now to wait for midnight…
EDIT…
For What It’s Worth, the midwest blizzard finally moved far enough east to be affecting us. For the moment, we’re OK, but if anybody’s awake at 12:30a.m. eastern and I still haven’t posted my shots, it’s because we suffered a black out. An OBO would be appreciated (again, I plan on doing it myself at 12:00ish, but this is just in case) thanx!

I’ll have a Blue Christmas (With or) Without You

Snowman and Lights
One of my students gave me this last month.
Figured it would be perfect for this contest.
Old Camera and a Sepia Filter
(I asked, and filters are kosher for this contest.)Again… shouldn’t be necessary, but if it is, I really appreciate it!
