Does the pet have to be alive? A thought crossed my mind today to use a Pillow-Pet, but if the consensus is no, then I won’t; I actually have something for this anyway.

My take is that the caveat “no wild/zoo photos allowed” implies the kind of pet that is living.
That’s the direction I went anyways.

Yeah, my take is that the pet has to be alive at the time of the photo.
Stuffed pretend animals don’t really fit. I guess taxidermy would work but it’s pretty goofy for a pet. 🙂

I want to be on record saying to anyone who has an eternally preserved pet or lovingly created the perfect pet/companion animal/life partner by whatever means they may have chosen, I appreciate and respect your deep understanding of love and loving relationships. My question wasn’t very clear. The picture I was thinking of was taken years ago when my dog was alive. I wasn’t sure if they were thinking current pets, I realize it was a somewhat stupid question.

I do think they need to be living in the picture–no chia-pets, pillow-pets, statues, or the like need apply.

Technically, the description says it must actually be someone’s pet. Feral animals are no one’s pets and are at least semi-wild. That said, if you took a picture of a feral cat in your yard or on the sidewalk, who would know if it was truly someone’s pet vs truly feral/wild?
