Well Damn I like all three of those a lot. But I think it would be a coin flip between b and c.

Something like that. We should decide what’s iconic to us, not of our own pix, but to see what we see in others.

On the basis of this statement and a thorough two minute review of your bibliostats I pick ‘B’.

    This one

One of these but I can’t decide on color or black and white

And one of my skyline shots, but I’ve so many to choose from it would take some thought.

You guys will have to pick for me because my favorites =/= Fark voter favorites. But for orionid I think we can all look at this series and think it’s iconic.

I have a bias towards this one:

but this one is probably the best of the series

That’s exactly what I think of when I think of orionids photos. The second is probably the one I had flash through my brain. And ennuipoet I would choose the little hero dude first and stick with the color version. but you only gave me two choices. That’s my two cents so far.

I have a lovely 11×14 print of him in color in my printed portfolio that I would use then!

SilverStag, I would say the first one, though the one Orionid singled out was also an excellent choice.

ennuipoet: Yep, the little super guy in color.

Loki, looking at those, I would say the third is the best distillation of what I think of your style (though the first one is pretty close too).

Kes, I always liked your Rainier at sunrise (or is it sunset?) from “Travel Photography,” Oct. 10, 2010.

And as for Orionid, I usually think of some exceedingly clever studio setup, like the “Money Shots” one. Or else, maybe that nice snowy shot from “Color Popping Naturally”?

    Hope I didn’t miss anyone there…

Generally, the high vote getters for me have also been my favorites:

    (My very favorite)

    (Second favorite)

    (Voter’s favorite)

Of those three I do like the 1st one best Plama/b]. lokisbong I’m all about your lightwriting shot.

Plama, I’d pick the second of your shots.
orionid‘s shot of kes in the red coat strikes me as memorable (Color popping naturally)
loki, it’s gotta be the lightwriting shot.

Thanks SilverStag and kestrana. That’s my favorite of the three also. hence it being at the top.
Oh and Plama I would chose the first one also.

I love this idea, but personally, I don’t think I have an iconic “style” yet. Still in the exploratory phase of photography.

Stag – I think B screams your style
Lok – I’d say the first one
Ennui – the little dude in colour is awesome
For Orionid – I like Incomplete, and feel things like his shooting man from “Keep Out” or the torture chamber from “Dungeons and Dragons,” or one of his film images, like the house captured on two separate 35mm films stuffed into the same camera – that’s definitely his style.
Kes – it’s a bit hard for me to pick one for you – you’re pretty good at keeping a big variety in your shots, but you do tend to go for high-contrast it seems, so maybe one from your black and white or low key shoots
Plama – I’d go with the second, but lately you’re favouring star photos heavily, so if you intend to keep doing that, it’d be more iconic to use one of your awesome night sky shots from Hawaii
