The photographer was drafted in 1968 and sent to Viet Nam as a rifleman. When he arrived his CO found out he was a photographer and handed him a camera and told him to shoot the company, not as a combat photographer but for morale. He has over 2000 negatives, most not seen since he took them that are being printed and shown. The shots are simply amazing, a look inside the life of a soldier in Viet Nam without any filters. Thanks for the links, ennui. My uncle was an artilleryman in Nam in and around the DMZ and saw some pretty nasty stuff. What little he talks about it is just unimaginable. He’s got pretty severe hearing loss from it and still suffers from the effects of Agent Orange.
