(I’ve been to where they were filming. It’s under the Key Bridge in DC. Wonder if they’re local?

ParticipantSeems like an unbiased test to me. It’s just simple proof that Nikon will always win.
/Ordering some Fauxtographor tablets online now.

^ Yeah, that. 😆 I made it to “CANON SUCKS BALLS” and stopped; but I’m going back to watch the rest later (this looks far too good to pass up). I have a Canon 5DII, and glass to match, but I’m not a “loyalist”. I’m a two-trick pony. I do landscapes and astrophotography, so props to whichever manages the least noise. My current rig is just fine for the landscapes and panoramas, but I’m in full-on drool mode for low-light performance and resolution… I’ll have to come back and comment after seeing the rest of the vid…

ParticipantIt seems like the Canon and Nikon have different size sensors since the width of view id slightly different between the two of them even though they’re supposed to have the same lense on both. Also why spend so much time comparing the video modes, when you can get a decent video camera for much less than $3k. I will say that the Canon makes the dancer look much better. The Nikon seems to have added about 80 pounds, at least.

ParticipantWait…there were two dancers?

Re video on DSLR’s in general: One gets a three thousand dollar swiss army knife. Yes, the tool is “there” but can you actually use it for anything other than small jobs? Use to the tool appropriate for the job, leave video on a videocamera and let my still camera do it’s job.

ParticipantSpeaking to the “video on a camera” thing… although I love my camera, I can’t help but look at the local camera store’s ads, and I notice there’s at least one Nikon designed to shoot full 1080p HD video. The others… not so much.
I don’t use the video on mine, but that’s mostly because I don’t think in video, I think in stills and photoshop.
