I was on the freeway, and it was a little dusty so I didn’t see it coming. Not my pictures (once it hit I had my hands full driving), but these shots from others are just–well, you just gotta go look. Awesome mother nature.

Wow! I have heard about the wall of dust type storms but haven’t seen anything like that except on youtube.
No, I wasn’t out in that yesterday. Stayed home with the baby – the lightning counts just weren’t high enough for me to go out.

That was taken from the Tempe Butte (“A Mountain”) trail during the Scott Kelby Photowalk, and won me a book.
Found this a few days ago. Crazy stuff. The foreground power lines do a nice job of giving it scale.
