…I would like to have someone throw an event in a bright, well lit room with North facing windows! Just to see what it would be like, not shooting a dimly lit basement!
Is this a New York City thing? The last six bookings I’ve got were ALL in dimly lit rooms with no windows.
And I shoot manual flash!

If the ceiling is a consistent height and color you can bounce it. Maybe tape a gel filter to the front so any unbounced light is warm or whatever.

I split between bounce and a softbox on the flash. I wanted to do off camera but found I needed both hands to zoom on the fly.
