    Hmmm…so about those paid gigs I had before. I received an application from the government requesting various information. Turns out on my visa, I’m not allowed “self-employment.” As a photographer charging per hour for pictures from the university, am I technically a temporary university employee? I’d like to think so…ya know, so I can get paid >.<

    I would run a risk calculation based on odds of getting caught, ramifications of being deported, ease of changing your visa, and the intensity of British-pound-me-in-the-ass prisons.

    Well, if that’s the case, then I don’t need to specify for anyone that the above question was purely hypothetical and I am in no way planning on doing anything whatsoever illegal to avoid taxes 😉
