Ordering prints on foam core – Different sizes

So…

I need to order an 8×12 print mounted on an 11×14 foam core. Mpix doesn’t do this. They trim their mounts to the size of the print. Can anyone recommend an online service that would be able to do this for me?

Make your canvas size 11×14 in PS or GIMP and whatever color you’d like (white or black or whatever). Then center your 8×12 on top of that (or offset however you prefer). Then the actual “image” is 11×14 and Mpix won’t need to trim.

Yeah that does sound like it would make sense, huh? 🙂
I considered that but didn’t know how it would work with the crop, etc. But yeah… I suppose ordering it as an 11×14 would fix that. Wow. But that’s why I come here and ask these things!
