Now that everyone else had a chance to play I wanted to post a couple more that I liked.

This one is called Techno-colored Dandelion
    .

That’s what I thought. I used the 75.0 – 300.0mm lens at 75mm. ISO 100, f/4.0 with a 4 second shutter. No cropping or post adjusting other than converting RAW to jpeg. They shot off a few that would go off in different directions as they got bigger.

I like the “zig-zag” bursts. There weren’t nearly as many at the Tempe Town Lake show as I’d wished.

There are some truly beautiful photos here. I am in awe.

The plan to see real fireworks panned out, so I just got some photos of my daughter and a sparkler.

Going to be playing with gunpowder, XenPix? 😛

My wife and I were in Oban, Scotland on that date in 2006. Good times… good times.

Here are two that I felt were acceptable but I really need several fireworks shows to learn how to do this the right way.

Any and all help and suggestions greatly appreciated.

Hmm I don’t see any exif data in your files–do you know/remember what kind of aperture and shutter speeds you were using? I like that first one, the colors are nifty. Were you using a tripod? The second one’s neat, though looks like maybe you could have gone with a slightly faster shutter speed and not gotten quite so much of the trailing, though some of that’s kinda nice, too.
