Sacrificing Mobility for the Sake of Size

Yesterday was the annual drunken shiat show of SantaCon in NYC. (SantaCon is a bar crawl for thousands of drunk frat boys dressed in Santa suits and their “naughty” elf girlfriends.) I was pondering taking my Crown Graphic out and shooting on it, but decided against it for any number of good reasons. Most them had to do with how heavy and slow it was. So naturally, when I arrived at the shoot location here is this:

He shot the group photo for the event, about three thousand Santa’s on 8×10 color film. You should have heard him getting everyone to hold still for one second while he shot.

It was actually pretty cool.
