I’ve seen that a couple times, randomly, but I’m not sure what’s going on. Is it still doing this for you>?

Search functionality seems to be the bane of all web forums. I help admin a large cycling forum running vBulletin and it seems like search has never worked right through countless versions of the software. I gave up and usually use google and site: to get good results.

The software geek in would say the root problem is that the software is trying to insert a search record with the same unique identifier as one that already exists, of course, this is the “well no shit Sherlock” answer, but doesn’t help discovering WHY it is trying to do this. It is, however, why I use GUIDs and not auto-incremental integers for nearly all of my identifier fields.
