The 2009 Arizona Monsoon Storms…so far

I live in central Phoenix and not very many made their way into my area, think we got rain maybe 4 or 5 times. I’m terrified of our bad storms when they’re close, but love watching them in the distance. Years ago, we had a freak one roll in about 6:00am, which is really rare and it scared the crap out of me! The lightning was striking so close to my house, I got my 3 cats and 2 dogs and we all sat in my car in the driveway for about 30 minutes. I was hoping my neighbors weren’t watching…wondering what the crazy lady was up to now. Of course, the dogs were quite confused with the no ride bit and the cats were just annoyed. 😆
