I’ve got to laugh. Can’t believe I’m new to Farktography, and everyone here has some AE love. Usually people look at me like I’m crazy. Always get the “get with the times” idiots.

Good deal–are you talking about the distortion from the way the camera progressively scans during exposure? Cause I’ve seen some really cool stuff from those cameras. Also feeling the AE-1 love…my Dad left me an AE-1P, and it’s just a beautiful camera.

Yes, exactly. I’ve got this one great picture I took with it while running around my 2 year old in circles with the camera… if she weren’t nude in it I’d use that for the contest, sadly, she’s always nude. I think, though, I’m going to use some stuff I took of the dash while in the passenger seat drunk one night. Looks like fireworks. Kind of neat. I love my AE-1. I actually got it off E-bay a few years ago, and stopped using digital altogether. Gave my digital camera to my wife.

I edited the above with the caveat, but you might not see it–if it’s applying a bunch of “artistic filters” to the photo, it may not be legit for Farktography. If you have more specifics, it would help us know if it would be allowed. Straight cell phone camera shots would be fine, but stuff like “hipstamatic” iPhone stuff wouldn’t really qualify.

Nope, just the straight camera. I know none of those app things I don’t buy apply. I like to take pictures with it while my wife is going 75 down the interstate. You get all sorts of strange distortions and stuff that I love. I usually use my old AE-1 for most of my photography, but I can’t help but love the odd things you get with crappy iphone cameras.
