I am going to take a stab at a piercing picture….

Word to the wise, surgically implanting a subdermal stapler requires a surgeon. It’s not like in Tetsuo the Iron Man at all, well, except for the screaming and not making sense.
Not to put too fine a point on it, but the images that nail this theme will need dimension – to keep the lead, they will need to stick out and capture the decisive moment.
That’s my two cents worth, anyway.

Not to be a prick, but I just can’t seem to pin down a good concept for a shot. My ineptitude is making me all stabby. I think I might stay on the fence for this contest. Rapier.
Wow. A lot of these are really bad. So bad that they’re enjoyable.
But I agree with schnee, we awl need to stick to the point of the contest. It is a bit of a thorny problem; how to pin down the perfect photo that will be at the apex of the thread. I’ve got two pics on the spike. But I seem to have hit a snag on the last one. Perhaps my interest is tapering off.

I am finding this to be an easy theme to have ideas for:
Anything that is pointy, stabby, needley, or penetrating, and then from there there are a ton of options. Stabbing, arranged, piled up, scattered, found in nature (thistles), etc…
Seamstresses could have a ton of ideas.

I’d like to point out that these puns are starting to get dull, and attempts to squeeze as many puns as possible should be pared down to the essentials. We should instead concentrate on honing our skills as photographers 🙂
You may poke fun, but I think this will be tooth and nail battle to the finish.
