ParticipantI have my film developed, but never got around to actually scanning it. I’ve been squashed with research the past few weeks, so I’ll probably be hiding in the corner for the next several projects. Bummed out…

You’re welcome. As for the metal boobies, it kind of depends on the object/depiction. Oftentimes, sculpture isn’t that “in-your-face” explicit, and the boobies (or weeners) can pass since they aren’t truly graphic. Yours fell into that category. If, on the other hand, the sculpture/depiction is something that at first glance someone might immediately think of as true explicit nudity, then you should put it behind a link. If you have any doubts, you can always ask ahead of time.

ParticipantOk, my shots are now posted to the thread. Getting back home from the FarkCon took longer than first imagined. You can also see pics from the weekend at my Flickr stream. Anyway, get to voting for my shots while travelling across Arizona. There is really some very hipsterific scenery in Arizona. How hip would it be to actually sleep in a wig-wam?
April 6, 2012 at 6:17 am #45066ParticipantSecondly, has anyone experimented with opening up the aperture on a Holga-for-DSLR? I was taking my pics in Arizona mid-day cloudless-sky full sun, and it was still almost impossible to see through the viewfinder. I assume the original Holga range-finder cameras had a sufficiently bright viewfinder, but I’m itching to take a drill bit to the back of mine to improve framing, low light performance, and increase bokeh. I was planning to take pics of FarkCon with the Holga, but it was way too dark in the casinos, even with my new Canon Speedlite 580EX which I got specifically for the Con, and I love it. I’m sure the beaver shot could have taken first place for funniest.

ParticipantHa! You know what’s funnier, is I completely missed that you’d made the mistake; I generally follow the bib’stats so I just see who’s picture is what regardless of obo’s, and associate when I view them every once and a while on fark for updates.
I knew the first minute I saw it that Orionid’s picture would win. I just thought it’d be the b/w railroad shot! I’d hang that one on my wall. (the flower was nice, too, and I did vote for it…nice trifecta.

Nope. I only drink good beers. I found the Busch bush on a walk around my neighborhood. It was basically right behind a gas station near my home.
