KeymasterAw man, that stinks. It had several comments referencing it, so I vote disabled it, but left it up with a comment in the thread to explain. Thanks for catching that.

ParticipantYeah, it does (stink, that is). Looking at his/her portfolio, he’s got some really stunning nature shots. Sure hope he shows back up for “Wild Things”.

KeymasterIndeed.

ParticipantEls, in case you missed it, what kyuzokai meant by his comment in the thread of “Thanks for the link… I made a boo-boo!” is that he re-used a past entry. This one was previously used in Farkitol 100mg.

KeymasterAh gotcha…I was thinking it referenced one I already deleted.

ParticipantThanks. I liked the shot but wasn’t sure voters would consider it “in-theme”.
See y’all in a few.

ParticipantCongrats U-Man (ya bastard :P)
Just out of interest, what focal length did you take the winning photo at? (I was thinking of doing a similiar idea but left it too late and the weather turned on me)

ParticipantI set up two cameras for this one. I learned the benefit of two slightly different settings when doing the spinning steel wool shots. I’m glad I did because my other camera’s shots came out a little too light. You could see the gravel along the roadside.
Anyway, for this one I used a Canon 7D, 17-55 zoom set at 17 mm, f/5.6, ISO 400, 221 sec, focused at infinity. The bare bulb of the mag light was nice because it is non-directional. It I did it again, I could get smoother, more uniform circles if I had the string on some sort of axle. I hand held it for these and it twisted and chaffed.
