Meh, life got busy and complicated, and I’ve been uninspired. With the kids back in school, I’m hoping that will change at least somewhat.

I’m glad I’m not the only one that has been unispired. The themes have been good, I just have felt ‘meh’ about shooting most of the summer.
*raises hand* over here, too. This week was a psuedo breath of fresh air, but it was also a total rip-off of another photo I saw on flickr. I think I’m in more of an imitate rather than innovate mode.
This was one of the rare themes I went out and shot for, granted it was a quick ten minute stop and shoot, but it was done with the theme in mind, mostly because I didn’t want to sift through the archives to find bokeh. The last time I shot for a specific theme was Volcanoes, Waterfalls, and Mountains and I came in 1st on that one. The one good thing about being a prolific shooter is that I probably have something for most themes, but all the wins I have were shot specifically for that weeks theme.
This week were shots that I took not long after the contest was announced. Macro, I’ve done a few new things, but I’ve been really trying to concentrate on my own stuff – I feel like I’ve been shelving ideas for way too long and need to work on them for a while.
Farktography slump? maybe. I’m not sure what I’ve been doing lately will translate into contests well 😛
