ParticipantOMG. Mom leaves for a week and you people draw all over the walls. You made me puke on the couch. I’m telling.

ParticipantMan, now I really wish I had some pics of an aztec pyramid that I could work up into a triptych for this contest. It would be the ultimate farktography in-joke.

ParticipantSerious question (because my creative side is squeezing out):
Tritych format must be same size pics side by side?
Or can I be more creative (like having an inset image or something)?I’m guessing the former, but if the latter is cool, I got some ideas I really want to play with.

Ummm… not Aztec, but I got some Mayan pyramids I got to climb a few years ago. If allowable I’d dig ’em up and use ’em… unfortunately, not alive… 🙁
(BTW – if you want to be able to climb and enter and generally interact with Mayan architecture, you gotta get off the beach and away from Tikal and Chichen Itza. Sure it’s a couple hours inland, but oh so worth it.)

One of the “like this” examples post earlier in this thread has different sized images in the triptych. So, no you don’t have to limit yourself to three identically sized images lined up.

Uxmal and Dzibilchaltun are very nice. The second one as a Cenote at the end of the tour. Nothing like going for a swim after seeing the ruins.

In crayon, no less.
But, they won’t let us have any sharp objects around here…

ParticipantThe guitar and hands pic.
—-That’s fine. One of the subjects is alive. The “panels of the same size” question.
—-Panels DO NOT have to be the same size. Two smaller panels flanking a larger, central pic is common. A 1/2 frame pic with two 1/4 frame pics next to it also works. I don’t know exactly what you mean about an “inset” pic. I don’t think it quite fits my intent though. Post an example here if you really really think it works though.November 18, 2011 at 4:38 am #41998ravnostic
ParticipantInset pics: On main image spanning to the borders on all sides, with smaller pictures placed strategically within those borders. I had the same question.

ParticipantJesus reading this made my head hurt.
here’s my question. Does fruit count as being alive if it’s no longer on the tree/vine?
November 19, 2011 at 4:03 pm #42002Elsinore
KeymasterI would say no. Fruit is typically included in “still life” stuff.

ParticipantGotcha. What’s the say on a middle finger? Is that kosher or does it need to be linked?

Oh, and IMO all these are fine to use, but it’d be U-man’s call.
