ParticipantI’ll be honest–I’ve had a lot going on in the past 10-12 days, and spent a lot of time on the D&D theme (Awesome contest pictures, unfortunately none of them appear to be mine, heh heh). I kind of need a break from the get-out-and-go; I think I’ve taken enough shots of the general theme type that I can be selective in my choices through the archives.
/unless I spy something better when I have the camera handy.

ParticipantTechnically malls are private property so they can limit photography but I’d just check with the mall website or information desk when you go in if you’re worried. I had my camera in the mall and was taking pictures on Black Friday, several security saw me, no one said a thing.
And if they had I was prepared with my “I’m taking pictures for things I want on my Christmas list” excuse but really, considering every teenager has a camera phone, I don’t know why or how a mall can think they can prevent photography on their premises.

Camera phones are common and therefore safe. DSLRs are uncommon and therefore dangerous…. 🙄

ParticipantYou haven’t seen this yet? Old news is so exciting.

ParticipantBut it’s great for all those times when you’ve got your iPhone and all your L glass but just can’t be bothered to drag that pesky SLR camera body around!

ParticipantOh hey I have something for this!

ParticipantI have no issues with interior shots.
Maaaan. I was sure I posted in response to this a week ago. Anyway, I think the description needs to change if this is OK. It only states “storefronts”. Is anything ‘stores’ OK?

ParticipantI have one interior shot I plan to use. That still OK, right?
Anyone? Anyone?
/…the Great Depression…

ParticipantAlso, just how specific of a storefront does it need to be? I have a “general shopping district” that could fit.

Admittedly, 1) I have a headache and I’m grouchy, 2) it’s Pope_Larry_II’s theme, and 3) I missed this before now, but
Pictures of storefronts.
suggests pictures of the store front, which is an exterior of a store. Dictionary.com defines “storefront” as:
The side of a store facing a street, usually containing display windows.
as seen here http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/storefront
Are exterior shots really that difficult to come by that we need to include interior shots for a theme about storefronts ?

ParticipantWell, I asked a long time ago whether or not interior shots would be okay since I worked in a retail store and thought I would have some interesting perspectives, and Larry said ok. But if they’re out, fine.

ParticipantI vote interior storefronts, such as in a mall are kosher, but not so much, say the rack of clearance menswear.

Like I said, I only just caught this, and it’s his theme and he did say it was fine awhile back. We may as well reword the theme to reflect the change.
Sometimes it just seems like theme descriptions are pointless.
/seriously crabby right now
//not crabby at you, Kestrana
///meh just gonna go hit the treadmill -
