And here’s the circle of life in action: As you have one just starting the trick-or-treating journey, this is the first Halloween that none of mine are trick-or-treating. But more importantly, it means no goody bags for dad to pilfer from (the “dad tax”, as I called it). 🙁

My husband called it the “dad tax” as well. He said it entitled him to take any and all candy. Of course, Atrus was oblivious to what that meant. No pilfering was done any how.
